What kind of leader are you?
Catholic Leadership 360 is the most customized leadership development program in the United States Catholic Church. CL-360 is a custom feedback assessment for Priests and Lay Leaders which is designed around proven best practices for leadership development, performance improvement and interpersonal communication.
Some highlights of the program include:
Priests and lay leaders receive a unique opportunity to gain insight into their effectiveness as leaders in the Church.
Through 360-degree feedback, each participant receives a report focused on his or her leadership behaviors and one-on-one feedback coaching on how to improve and grow.
Participants learn how they are viewed by others. Highlights blind spots and unrecognized strengths.
Each participant creates a personal development plan to grow in their ministries and strengthen their leadership skills to reflect the life and mission of Jesus.
“[The Leadership Roundtable’s] Catholic Leadership 360 will allow you to even more fully bring forth the power of God's grace given in the Sacrament of Holy Orders.”
Cardinal Sean O'Malley
Archdiocese of Boston
“The strategic plan for our Catholic schools called specifically for a 360 instrument for school principals. Catholic Leadership 360 was the perfect fit. We have launched the first of several cohorts of principals in the program and are very pleased. Catholic Leadership 360 will be a very effective professional development tool that will provide our principals with crucial information they need to grow and develop.”
Rev. John Belmonte, S.J.
Diocese of Joliet
"I found the process very helpful to me even though I have been in my leadership position for 17 years.”
Participant in Pilot Group
"This process was very valuable because it asked me to reflect on my own abilities in addition to giving me information on how others experience my leadership. It has led me to really think and plan for my own development."
Participant in Pilot Group
“I will lead a cohort of my priests through Catholic Leadership 360, which offers the leadership development we deeply need as we prepare to begin a pastoral planning process in the diocese. Our pastoral plan will only be as good as the leaders who implement it and so CL-360 will play a crucial role in moving our diocese forward."
Bishop Mark Bartchak Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown
What is the 360 process? 360 Degree Feedback is a process in which individuals receives feedback from the people who work and minister with him or her.
How many people participate in CL-360 at the same time? We recommend a cohort of 20. We can take a group as large as 30 or as small as 10.
How long does the program take? Generally 3-4 months but we always customize the time line to meet each group's needs.
Who receives a copy of the feedback report? Only the participant receives the feedback report, since the focus of CL-360 is on the participant's growth, not evaluation. The participant may then choose to share the report with others.
What is the time commitment for each participant? As little as 7.5 hours. There are three meetings (Orientation, Feedback and Development workshops) - each meeting is 2-hours long. There is one 90 minute 1-on-1 coaching session for each participant to review their report.
How do you measure leadership? We measure leadership using 13 competencies including Communication, Managing Conflict, Managing Diversity.
Does it work the same for ordained and laity? Similar, but different. The competencies and behaviors are tailored depending upon the audience.
